Navigating through the Faculty System can be a daunting prospect. Join Will Jones (DAC Secretary) Revd Canon Richard Williams (DAC Chairman) & Claire Strachan (Church Buildings Development Officer) for an introduction to the Faculty process, Lists A & B, and a demonstration of the Online Faculty System. The session will cover topics such as what permissions are required for particular types of projects, what to include in your application, and how the online system works

 Beautiful Burial Ground Conferences - 12 & 26 March 2020

2020 is the 'Year of the Burial Ground', and those nice folk at Caring for God's Acre are holding a one day conference aimed at inspiring & supporting attendees to create a haven for wildlife, heritage and people in their burial grounds. Specialists in the natural & built heritage will be speaking, & there will be a number of interesting workshops to choose from focused on different aspects of burial ground care & management.

It is taking place in two locations:
12th March - National Museum, Cardiff
26th March - The Circle, Sheffield

New Year is traditionally a time of resolutions and new beginnings. For some of us this will be a new hobby, an ambitious exercise plan, or an intention to refocus our priorities on something important to us. Others of us might go for something more light-hearted such as my decision a few years ago to learn to brush my teeth with my left hand (partial success!). Or perhaps this New Year signals time for a change in direction for you, a sense that God is calling you into something new?

 Spreading the Christmas Message with Radioplus 101.5 FM

Primary Schools across Coventry have been visiting the RadioPlus studios to perform Christmas Carols for the Breakfast Show throughout Advent. A compilation show with all the carols plus interviews with the children and their teachers, will be broadcast from 1.00pm-3.00pm on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.

The Bishop's message will be broadcast prior to the Carols by Candlelight Service held at All Saints Church, Allesley at 6.00pm- 7.00pm on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. Both programmes will be broadcast on 101.5 FM and will also be available on line at the RadioPlus website. Click on "Our Schedule", "Listen Again".

Betjeman 2020
 SPAB John Betjeman Award 2020 - applications open

Entries are now invited for the SPAB’s John Betjeman Award 2020. This Award celebrates excellence in conservation & repair projects at places of worship of any faith; & recognises the highest standards of craftsmanship used in carrying out those projects.

The Award is made for the repair/conservation of a specific element of the fabric, fittings or furnishings of a historic faith building which remains in use for worship.It is not essential that the building is listed/designated as being of architectural or historic interest – its age or architectural significance is less important than the quality of the repair.
