New interns for Bishop's House
Rosie and John are the new interns at Bishop's House

From September 2014, Bishop Christopher and the staff at Bishop's House will be welcoming two new interns. Both theology graduates, Rosie Illingworth and John Coleby will be joining the team. During a recent induction visit they shared a little more about themselves.

Rosie Illingworth

"I've lived in Northamptonshire for most of my life. After leaving school, I lived and worked for a year at Launde Abbey, the Leicester and Peterborough diocese retreat house. There I did anything from welcoming guests and leading services, to cleaning, serving at tables, and gardening. After that I studied Theology at Exeter University, which stretched my faith and challenged my preconceptions. I also fell in love with the city and its people at the same time. I'm really looking forward to starting work in Coventry, and to meeting many of you along the way."

John Coleby

"I studied theology at Oxford as an undergraduate before going on to do an MPhil in Judaism and Christianity in the Graeco-Roman world. My focus was on early Christian attitudes to the Law of Moses. After finishing my MPhil, I spent this last year working at St. Aldates Church in Oxford. I have worked mainly with graduate students, while helping out in several other ministries. This has been a good opportunity to put my theology studies into practice in the church, and I look forward to continuing to do this in Coventry."
