School News

  • Dunnington CofE Primary had a Section 8 Ofsted inspection on Tuesday.  Rev’d Elaine Scrivens attended the feedback.
  • The Willows CofE Primary was judged as RI in its recent Section 5 Ofsted inspection.  The school has undergone a lot of change during this year and the team have worked incredibly hard to make improvements.  It is lovely to read the following comment made by the inspector, ’Since her appointment in January 2017, the headteacher has provided committed leadership. She and the senior leadership team have identified the correct priorities to improve the school and are working hard to address them. As a result, teaching and outcomes are improving.’  Another comment in the report that stands out is,  ‘Pupils’ personal development and welfare are outstanding. Pupils behave well and are keen learners.’

  • Mrs Angela Dawes has kindly agreed to provide interim headship at St Nicolas’ CofE Academy, Nuneaton from January until Easter 2018 at which time Mrs Sharon Thorpe will take up the permanent position.
  • Following Michelle Cuskelly’s appointment as the Headteacher of St Laurence’s CofE Academy, interim leadership at St James’ CofE Academy in Bulkington from Easter until September 2018 will be covered by the Deputy and Assistant Headteachers.
