C3: Safeguarding for Clergy and Readers
Who is this training for?

This six-hour training session is for:

  • Clergy holding the bishop's license;
  • Clergy with permission to officiate (PTO);
  • Readers;
  • Licensed Lay Workers.
What does this module cover?

This training is now 6 hours long and is either one full day  or two evenings and covers:

  • Challenges of safeguarding in the church environment
  • Why safeguarding is important
  • How, who and from what we safeguard people
  • Safe working practice
  • Roles and responsibilities
  • Responding well to serious situations
  • Confidentiality and recording
