Vocation and Discernment

The Diocesan Discernment (or Vocations) process is designed to help you find out whether God is calling you to be part of the formal leadership of the Church.

To begin the discernment process, a candidate's incumbent/chaplain needs to complete a Vocations Recommendation Form, which can be found in the documents section on the right of this page.

In addition to this recommendation, prospective candidates should complete a Vocations Enquiry Form which can also be found in the documents section.

Recommendation forms and enquiry forms should be sent to Sarah Palmer, the DTP Administrator. She can be contacted at sarah.palmer@covcofe.org or on 024 7652 1316.

More information

In the documents section on the right you'll find a leaflet 'God's Call - Your Response' which explains the five stages of the discernment process in detail.

For more information about Vocations in the Church of England, and particularly for younger people exploring their call, please contact the Diocesan Vocations Adviser, Rev'd Ellie Clack at ellie.clack@covcofe.org or 02476 521316.
