Christian Aid Seeks Digital Media Volunteers

Christian Aid’s volunteers play a vital role in the fight against world poverty. They enable supporters to take action to challenge the systems and structures that keep people poor and ensure that actions taken by their supporters are used to create the most impact.

As a Digital Media Volunteer you will help bring to life the amazing and inspiring stories of Christian Aid supporters and the activities they carry out to Give, Act and Pray for a world free from Poverty.

Carriers of Hope - Christmas Toy Appeal

So far in 2017 Carriers of Hope has had 145 new families, coming from 19 different countries, including 14 Syrian families. 1,129 families have registered with them since they started Circle of Friends in May 2009, coming from 54 different countries.

At Christmas they give everyone registered with them a carrier containing some gifts. Some gifts are new and some are used, but everyone will know that someone cares enough to give them a gift. They haven't got enough gifts to meet the demand this year, so they're asking all of their contacts to please help.

If you can you donate any toys, toiletries, sweets or gifts please get in touch.

 School Governor Vacancies

Christian ministry can take many forms, and as a diocese we believe that church school governance is an important part of the church’s mission. Governors play a key role in ensuring that the children in our diocesan family of schools develop both academically and spiritually within a distinctive Christian ethos.

We are looking for people who are able to support our schools in understanding and developing the Christian aspects of their work and are willing to commit time and effort to supporting the educational development of the children in our schools.
