 LGBT+ Christian Fellowship at St George's Rugby

A new LGBT+ Christian Fellowship has started in Rugby based at St George's Church.

The group meet on the last Saturday of each month at 3.30pm in The Bungalow at St George's Church. This is a chance to worship together, have tea and cake, and socialise.

Everyone is welcome, whether you identify as LGBT+ or not.

 Food Safety in Catering Training with VAC

Voluntary Action Coventry are running a Food Safety in Catering Course on the 5th December from 9am-5pm.

This HABC Level 2 accredited course is the industry standard basic level where operators are preparing, cooking and/or serving food. Employees who handle food will gain a firm grasp of the importance of food safety and knowledge of the systems involved. They will have the confidence and expertise to deliver quality food safely to members of the public. The course is suitable for anyone involved in preparing or handling food.

 REMINDER - Disability and Faith - 18 November

Professor John Hull states, "The church will become more truly a symbol of the Kingdom of God when it becomes more faithfully a community of inclusive love."

You are invited to attend a Disability and Faith session from 10am to 12 noon on Saturday 18 November at St Mary Magdalen Church, Coventry.

The Revd Katie Tupling, Bishop's Advisor on Disability and Inclusion for the Diocese of Sheffield and the Revd Anne Richards, Disability Advisor for the Diocese of Coventry will discuss what it is to have a physical, mental or intellectual disability. They will also talk about what to do in a crisis and there will be a Q&A.

 Friends of Ibba Girls School Annual Meeting - 25 November

Friends of Ibba Girls School (a Coventry based charity) are holding their annual meeting at St James' Styvechale Church Centre on Saturday 25th November from noon - 6pm.

The event will celebrate 5 years of the school in South Sudan and there will be talks about plans for the next 5 years. You will be able to meet the school founder, Bridget Nagomoro in person and there will be a Skype link with the girls at the school.

 Warwick Living Advent Calender

From the 1st December join us for 24 free live 15 minute performances in different places and times across Warwick for an exciting living Advent Calendar to mark the countdown to Christmas.

Each community event is suitable for adults and children, so do invite your friends and neighbours.

Some events will be inside and some will be outside so please dress appropriately for the weather.
