CLC Coventry to close

Coventry's Christian bookshop, CLC, is sadly to close this week. Bishop Christopher and the Revd Greg Bartlem visited the shop to thank the staff for all the support they have given to churches over the years.

Bishop Christopher says:

"It’s a great loss for Coventry and its churches that CLC will be closing. This Christian Bookshop has served the people of Coventry with great dedication over many years. Very many people will remain deeply grateful for the loyal service of its staff and will want not only to thank them for all that they have done for us but also promise our prayers for their futures. May God raise up a new way of getting the best Christian literature and resources into the life of city and its churches, so that the faithful work and witness of Coventry’s Christian Bookshop will continue will be carried forward in the years ahead."

The Revd Greg Bartlem says:

"There has been a Christian Bookshop in Coventry as long as anyone remembers, latterly as CLC. In recent years, I have had the pleasure of getting to know the team as near neighbours of Coffee Tots and we have become good friends. The sudden closure of the store comes as a big loss, not least to the staff who have served our churches faithfully,

At Coffee Tots we plan to hold a thank you gathering for them, towards the end of next week. This is sad news."

Please join us in praying for the staff of CLC.
