The Vocations Process

The Diocesan Discernment (or Vocations) process is designed to help you find out whether God is calling you to be part of the formal leadership of the Church.

Registering
To begin the discernment process, a candidate's incumbent/chaplain needs to complete a Vocations Recommendation Form, which can be found in the documents section on the right of this page.

Prospective candidates should complete a Vocations Registration Form and (optional) Ethnic Monitoring Form, which can also be found in the documents section.

Recommendation forms and enquiry forms should be sent to Sarah Palmer, the DTP Administrator. She can be contacted at sarah.palmer@covcofe.org or on 024 7652 1316.

More information
In the documents section on the right you'll find a leaflet 'God's Call - Your Response' which explains the five stages of the discernment process in detail.

For more information about Vocations in the Church of England, and particularly for younger people exploring their call, please contact the DDO & Vocations Adviser, Rev'd Ellie Clack at ellie.clack@covcofe.org or 02476 521316.

Called: Mission, Ministry & Me - Vocations Course
We will be running a vocations course from 15th January 2019 for five consecutive Tuesday evenings. The course is held at All Saints Church, Emscote, Warwick. A chance to spend time with others exploring your sense of calling and hearing about a range of different forms of vocation, lay and ordained. Click here to book your place.

Under-represented people groups
We are keen to encourage and support those people who want to explore vocation who may not have been well represented in the Church of England to date. This includes, amongst others, those who identify as Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic (BAME). If you would like to know more about this or have any questions, please contact us here.
