Boys' Brigade and Girls' Association

12th Coventry Boys' Brigade and Girls' Association has started in Wood End, Coventry, and is welcoming girls and boys aged 5-8 to join its Anchor Section. 12th Coventry is the only uniformed organisation in Wood End and has been started by the vicar and congregation at St Chad's church on Hillmorton Road, Wood End.

The vicar of St Chad's, Wood End, the Revd. Andrew Fisher, commented,

"Joining the Boys' Brigade and Girls' Association is a great way to meet friends and have fun.  We enjoy crazy games together, stories, crafts, songs, puzzles, food and trips out.  There are badges to work towards, and awards to win - all in a safe and welcoming environment."

Recently the staff and children had an animal themed evening and were joined by a tarantula spider and a snake.  Everyone enjoyed learning about the animals, some were even so brave as to give the animals a stroke!

12th Coventry Boys' Brigade and  Girls' Association meets at 6.15pm on Thursdays at St Chad's Church Hall, Hillmorton Road, Wood End, Coventry.  Thanks to funding from the Bishops' Mission Fund there is no charge for children to join the group and uniforms can also be provided free of charge.
